If the IJ Scan Utility does not appear in these locations, it has not yet been installed on your computer. On a Windows 7 computer : From the Start menu (lower left corner of the screen), select All Programs > Canon Utilities > IJ Scan Utility > IJ Scan Utility. On a Windows 8 / 8.1 computer : Select IJ Scan Utility on the Start screen (lower left corner of the screen). If IJ Scan Utility doesn't display, select the Search charm, then search for IJ Scan Utility. If you don't see this, type IJ Scan Utility in the search bar. On a Windows 10 / 11 computer : From the Start menu (lower left corner of the screen), select All Apps > Canon Utilities > IJ Scan Utility. Refer to About Auto Scan settings for more about image corrections. > Settings (Auto Scan) and select Apply recommended image correction.
To apply image corrections based on the item type, go to Settings. You can correct this by adjusting the scan areas in whole image view of the scanner driver ScanGear, then rescanning the original document or photo. This includes photos with a whitish background, items printed on white paper, thin or thick items, hand-written documents, business cards, etc. Types of items that may not scan correctly Your scanned image is saved in the folder you've specified in Settings.
